Tomorrow’s Podiatry

Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Tomorrow’s Podiatry collects, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. Last updated: October 2026.

Who we are

Tomorrow’s Podiatry is an independent, not-for-profit initiative run by Michael Stephenson, who is responsible for the information described here. You can contact us at info@tomorrowspods.com.

What we collect

If you nominate someone for an award: your name and email address, and the details you give us about your nominee, including their name, email address, university or workplace, and the words of your nomination.

If you are nominated: the details your nominator gave us, and the details you choose to give us on our nominee form: your name as you’d like it to appear, place of work or study, email address and, if you wish, your preferred title, pronouns, how to pronounce your name and social media handles. If you’re shortlisted, we also ask for a photo (with your consent to use it) and a postal address so we can send you something in the post.

If you take part in Skills to Step Forward: your name, email address and year group when you sign up for workshops, and any feedback you choose to give.

How we use it

  • To run the awards: checking and judging nominations, contacting nominees, and publishing the shortlist and winners.
  • To let nominees know they’ve been nominated and, if the nominator agrees, share the words written about them and quote them publicly, without the nominator’s name, on social media and at the awards.
  • To organise workshops, send certificates and improve future sessions.

We rely on our legitimate interest in running the awards and workshops, and on your consent where we ask for it (for example, sharing a nomination with the nominee, quoting it publicly, or using a shortlisted nominee’s photo). We never sell your information or use it for marketing by anyone else.

Who sees it

  • Tomorrow’s Podiatry, to manage nominations and workshops.
  • Our judging panel, who see shortlisted nominations so they can score them.
  • Nominees, who receive the words written about them if the nominator agrees.
  • The public: the names, universities or workplaces and photos of shortlisted nominees and winners are published on this website and our social media. Where a nominator agrees, short quotes from their nomination are also published, without their name, on social media and at the awards.
  • Service providers who store information for us: Jotform (our forms, hosted on EU servers) and WordPress.com (this website).

How long we keep it

We delete nomination information, including nominees’ photos and postal addresses, after each year’s awards are presented. Workshop sign-up and feedback information is deleted within 12 months of the workshops. The names of shortlisted nominees and winners stay on this website as a record of the awards; email us if you’d like yours removed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email info@tomorrowspods.com and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) in Ireland.
